THE HUMANE HEARTS
a far-away hardship-ridden country,
war-ravaged native land sunk in welter,
people, trying to survive troubled times,
Swallowed resentment to flee and seek shelter.
many cities there are on the globe,
Vietnamese compatriots are in most present;
on the snow-covered high mountain areas,
as refugees, willingly accepted, pleasant.
seven years adrift in this new country,
have luckily succeeded getting homes to own,
positions and fame worthy of being Viet,
some with their old state into perils thrown.
seven years, so much favor and felicity!
US, Germany, France, Canada, Australia, so on
so far helped our folks in their lives with
and intellectual comforts to build upon.
for me... ten years in this foreign land
have witnessed freedoms, press, human rights,
hard working, hard studying lead to heights.
you for all of your humane hearts
my genuine rhymes of inmost laudation.
Vietnamese communities pledge devotion
lifetime service to every resettlement nation...
